The first all electric Porsche - The Taycan.

The name apparently means a "lively, young horse," according to Porsche Boss Oliver Blume, CNBC reports.

Really sad name. I think they were trying too hard to make it close to Macan.
Memes have already started floating on the internet! :uncontrol

Well, I think we've been conditioned to weird names recently.
Taycan sounds acceptable by modern standards. Afterall, the previous launch from both competing brands were
- Ferrari
Pista &
- Lamborghini
Urus

They tried to make it sound like Macan , but unfortunately it also rhymes with Tincan:(
• The Taycan will go into production next year.
• The Taycan will have a travel range of 500km on a single charge.
• 0 - 100kmph comes in under 3.5 seconds and to 200kmph in under 12 seconds.
• Porsche will bring the Taycan to India by 2020.

Damn, if ever a futuristic car looked great, this one is it. Love that front 3-quarter look in the opening post (hate the rear though).
Stupid name, but with 670 horses, it's going to be easy to build a solid reputation. Someone on
Jalopnik put it best:

I hope it has a Porsche performance. Durability is a given. Engineering one has to see. I hope the road manners are also good.

Why does it appear to have twin exhausts at the rear?

The twin exhaust pipes are dummy finishers to throw off people when the mule is spotted testing.
The average Joe will assume it's a gasoline powered car when he spots the exhaust pipes.

Looks like they have finally decided to give Heads-Up display in a Porsche!!
Really a good looking sedan (finally by Porsche).
IMO this is how the Panamera should've looked from Day 1 :thumbs up

Porsche seems to be working on establishing a charging network before the launch of the Taycan.
