Skoda has launched a special edition Kodiaq RS Challenge in Czech Republic. The specs and the styling remains unchanged but it comes with new features including
9 airbags, heated steering wheel,
9.2- inch columbus infotainment system,

Skoda Kodiaq RS facelift spied testing in Alps (Austria).

As seen with the Karoq facelift, the Kodiaq too is expected to get changes to the front and rear apart from the interior changes.
But in the case of Kodiaq RS, it will get a new, more efficient diesel engine, 240hp 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine to perform well within the marked emission limits.

Last April we knew of the temporary cessation of production of the Skoda Kodiaq RS . Once again, the problem is the strict limit of polluting emissions in the engine equipped at the top of the range of the Czech manufacturer, so this facelift that the Czech brand is already preparing for the second half of 2021 will solve the problem.

Skoda Kodiaq vRS to be removed from sale due to emissions rules, Skoda confirms it will return with a new engine as part of mid-life facelift.

Confirmed by the Czech brand in a statement, the sporting large SUV will no longer be offered with the 237bhp twin-turbo diesel engine currently used in the vRS. The statement also confirms there will be “certain adjustments in the engine product line of Skoda next year”.

However, the news doesn’t mean the only current high-riding vRS model in the Czech brand’s line-up is gone for good. The statement also confirms an upgraded version of the Kodiaq vRS will be reintroduced when the car is given its mid-life revamp.

What exactly Zac Hollis means by this statement? The engine is 2.0 VAG diesel, I see no reason why it can't run in Indian conditions. I guess the same engine was used by some AUDIs here too. I may be wrong though.

Skoda Kodiaq RS has the highly tuned 2.0-litre four-cylinder bi-turbo diesel engine.

This engine is not normally offered in “hot and dusty” climate.

This SUV was initially not been considered for Australia due to the above conditions.
