The McLaren 600LT

The McLaren 600LT has landed with vertical exhausts!

The fourth McLaren to wear the LT badge, a name made legendary by the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR Longtail.

McLaren spotted

My wife and I were out today visiting art fair in Laren. A little town not too far away from Amsterdam.

Found this one in one of the (public) parking places

I did not have time to really take a very close look. But even at a glance this car is out o f this world. The paint job is just phenomenal and the attention to all sorts of details is beyond belief.

I had not come across one of these in the wild yet. Certainly a very rare car in the Netherlands

That is the 600LT if I am not wrong.

Totally agree with you on the design. It looks really purposeful(Those exhaust tips look mean) without seeming to garish and that beautiful shade compliments the carbon trim.
I actually prefer the 600LT and the 720S over the Flagship Senna on aesthetics.

No, not really. Smart parking. This is a left hand drive. This way the car is parked as far away from other cars and the driver can still get out without the door ending up in the hedge.

True, but i said it based on 2 observations;

1) The car isn't exactly parallel to the side blocks / lines.

2) Steering wheel not turned back straight after parking.

It is not parallel on purpose and why would you want to turn the wheels straight? When you back out you need the wheel turned the way you come in.
Might as well leave it like that.

And guess what was featured in the first episode of the new new new Topgear.
Wasn't as fast as the Ferrari 488 Pista which became the fastest on the track.
But McLaren 600LT was chosen by Chris as his choice as he reckons that's the 'driver's car 'between the two.

I can understand where you coming from, I would have parked it as parallel as possible to the kerb, but the parking space is generous and I can't see the car obstructing any other cars which may need access to spaces near by.
Steering wheel turned straight is a good practice, a lot important when you parallel park on the side of the road.
There is almost a feet available in front of the car, driver could have used that space a bit better. Let's just say the parking etiquette of the driver lacks the finesse that his/her car has
