Lamborghini Aventador SVJ sets new Nürburgring record

The yet to be officially unveiled Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has set a new lap record around the Nürburgring. A time of 6m 44.97s almost 15s faster than an Aventador SV. It breaks the record set by the Porsche GT2 RS by 2s.

The SV Jota features Lamborghini's new active aero (ALA) v2.0, four wheel steering, more downforce, retuned suspension and 20bhp more from the 6.5-litre V12 for a total of 760bhp.

Do note it is the record for the fastest production car that has been broken. The all time record around the track set by the 919 tribute remains untouched.
