Koenigsegg, an exclusive Swedish super car manufacturer, has a new muscle car, the CCR, with a power output of 600kW. It blitzes from 0-100km/h in only 3.2 seconds.

With the Koenigsegg CC8S already in the Guinness Book of records for the most powerful production car, the CCR shows that Koenigsegg does not rest on its laurels. The CCr has a 4.7-litre V8 muscle engine.

The CCR with a power output of 600kW and a maximum torque of 920Nm stands alone in it's league - especially considering that the dry weight of the CCR is a mere 1 180kg.

What is even more exciting is the broad torque curve with over 550Nm at 2 000 r/min and over 700Nm from 3 000 to 7 300 r/min giving the CCR excellent drivability

The CCR is a two-door two-seater with removable hardtop. The body is made of preimpregnated carbonfibre/kevlar and lightweight hard-foam sandwich reinforcements.

Its chassis is semi-monocoque made of preimpregnated carbonfibre and with honeycomb reinforcements for added stiffness.

Performance:

0-100 km/h: 3.2 seconds.
Top speed: 395+ km/h

"To finish first, you have to first finish".

This Koenigsegg has a reputation for falling apart within a couple of laps of hard driving. What do you expect when a bunch of watchmakers make a super car

Even when Jeremy Clarkson tested this car, it fell apart...

It's fame will be short lived, as it has to first compare to the Veyron that makes mince meat out of the K CCR's timings. 600 Kw comes to about 804.6bhp. Hmmm...powerful but, not "I'm gonna crush the Veyron" powerful!!!

It looks good and does resemble the CC8S.

Problem with supercars these days is that they're b'comin too common. There are so many out there who have their own supercars.

It isn't about power anymore, people expect something more from their "Extreme Machines".

Ferrari - has the name and passion.
Pagani - has the sophistication.
Lambo - has an amazing history.

Though Koenigsegg has come a long way in such a short time, it still lacks something. It's really hard to explain what, but i know it's missing something.

Regards...
