Not possible, Chinese labor is cheaper and they produce 100% of the components locally in china, including batteries and raw materials for the battery.
So I wouldn't be surprised if ex showroom price is 8 lakh in India, due to custom duties on imported content.

Re: Renault Kwid electric concept, the K-ZE

If it is launched in India at a price below 8L, it will be a game changer. This could start the revolution of electric vehicles in India just like the way Tesla did it in US.
This vehicle has the combination of looks, VFM and the range which none of the electric vehicles available in India had.
I am eagerly waiting for the launch of this vehicle.

Re: Renault Kwid electric concept, the K-ZE

Renault has finally joined the EV game in India. Renault India showcased K-ZE today at the Auto Expo.It first made its debut at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show and currently is on sale in China.

Spec sheet and features :

• It is based on the same CMF-A platform as the standard Kwid.

• Interiors are also identical, with equipment like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as connected car tech.

• Its electric motor is juiced up by a 26.8kWh battery pack delivering 44PS/125Nm, with a 105kmph top speed.

• It offers an NEDC claimed range of upto 270km.

• It also supports fast charging capabilities with a 0-80 per cent charge taking just 30 minutes. A normal charger gives a 0-100 per cent charge in 4 hours.

• The carmaker plans to launch the K-ZE by 2022 as it awaits better charging infrastructure in the country.

• Once launched, it will take on the likes of the upcoming XL5 EV from Maruti Suzuki as well as the Mahindra eKUV100.

With those limited top speed and range, I don't think many will take these on long road trips anyway. It will be a good city car for many people and with home charging every night they don't need to worry about range.

Keep waiting Renault, keep waiting and keep delivering mediocre cars to the public and not do anything to improve the infrastructure.
