Am i the only one who like the exterior looks from some angles? The front view is pretty neutral and not bothersome at all which is in line with their design language, while the rear view looks fantastic IMO.

The side view from the A pillar to the C pillar has some pretty funky character lines, which should look good in person although might come off as weird in the pictures.

It's only the rear which looks really awkward from the side view with the tailgate protruding way out, and it reminds me of one of those Instagram models who place too much emphasis on "leg day"

Overall I'm assuming they're counting on the funky futuristic design and their brand name to get this car off the showroom floors. The price is another matter though, and at that mouth watering price, the customers may be looking for stand out designs which generally divide opinions (case in point, the latest gen Lexus SUVs).

22 inch wheels - too big and too ghastly. Trying to put huge wheels on this, to make it look "proportional" is like standing on stilts and hiding the lower body behind a table to make oneself appear taller in a photo - people will be able to eventually figure that out, from the length of the upper body and arms. Same case here. Once a car shape is jacked up to make it an SUV, its near on impossible to give it the same "flow" in the design lines to make it resemble the defining shape of the original car. That's why all SUV's of older times, were all with boxy shapes, because those designs were honest, without the ulterior motive to masquerade as a 'car' shape.

If anyone had a doubt - it should be gone now. SUVs are going to rule the streets and car makers are going to give up on capable sedans pretty soon.

Pretty much each brand we associate with top notch road hugging sedans - are now making SUVs. I don't see how they'll keep themselves motivated to make good sedans in future if customers aren't interested at all!

Brands that didn't have SUVs are producing SUVs now, true. People are inclined towards SUVs, true. But I don't think Sedans will ever come to an end. Even in our market, we see people buying those compact sedans because they want the practicality of Sedans but can't afford a proper sedan. Given the affordability, they'd choose a proper sedan and not an SUV. So, sedans will live and will live for a long time.

Coming to the DBX, we shouldn't forget to mention that they've put the largest Aston Martin badge they've ever made.

Aston Martin has confirmed that it plans to add more derivatives of its new DBX SUV, a sleeker more Coupe-like DBX and a stretched seven-seat variant.



Executive chairman Lawrence Stroll said, Based on the successful initial orders for the DBX, we plan to unveil future derivatives starting from 2021.

Production of the new Aston Martin DBX has begun at the new St Athan factory in Wales. Deliveries of the new model are due to begin later this month.

Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition launched. It’s limited to only 18 units. Gets exclusive exterior and interior details.

Bowmore, a Scotch whiskey distillery established in 1779, served as inspiration for the unique DBX. Q used copper strips from the distillery’s whiskey stills for the side-strake inlays. More original Bowmore copper is used inside for the polished copper cup holders and sill plaques. The subtle copper exterior accents are paired with Bowmore Blue, an existing Aston exterior color resurrected for the DBX Bowmore Edition model. There’s an optional Xenon Gray available, too.

Aston Martin boosted by strong DBX sales in first quarter of 2021



Aston Martin sold 1353 cars in the first quarter of the year, including 746 DBXs – 55% of all sales.

Aston Martin’s revenue increased by 153% year on year to £224 million, which exceeded the expectations of market analysts.
