Honda announced the release of the new Crossroad. Built on Civic underpinnings, the Crossroad is a new type of vehicle for Honda, with rugged, almost boxy sport-utility vehicle styling cues on the outside and three rows of seats. Honda describes the vehicle as an "active life navigator" that combines the functionality of an SUV with the roominess of a minivan.

The Honda Crossroad comes equipped with either a 1.8-liter or a 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine.

The 4WD model combines VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist system, which includes an Antilock Brake System, Traction Control System, and sideslip control) with Hill-Start Assist—a Honda first—which temporarily maintains brake pressure after the brake pedal is released when starting on a hill to ensure smoother starts.

The price for a 1.8-liter engine model starts at 1,932,000 yen[Rs. 706,549.70], and the 2.0-liter engine starts at 2,226,000 yen[Rs. 814,068.13]
