we should refrain from calling the rich people what we call them, this is not china or russia. and they have already come to terms with the capitalists who ONLY can change their countries prospects. Neway!

Its STUPID to call rich people "stupid" who own such super cars and try to push them and crash them in the process .. I wonder what would one call a person who would crash a 60bhp car in india (prove me wrong but each one of us have done it at some point or the other)?? Wonder whose the fool or the be it the stupid in this case ?? That said , even greats like ayrton senna , fangio , shumi have crashed .. Does that make them stupid too ??

Wow, though the crash doesnt look so bad, the owner for sure is pretty embarrased to show his face . In any case, i am sure there is a pretty hefty repair tag to be borne by somebody ( insurance guys must be pretty worked up)

I agree the "filthy rich idiots" comment is way out of propotion ... but i think i can call him an idiot for the following reasons :

* Driving on a 40 mph road strech @ 100 mph.
* Not driving a rented out car carefully - it was rented out to him for £20k a day. (bought by the car hire company @ elevated price of £925k )
* Hitting a Vauxhall Astra with a 7 month pregnent lady init (shes safe)

The insurance company cannot say wether it will be repaired or written off.

The tow truck used to escort the damaged car was the same which gave its delivery a week ago

the Veyron is a technology demonstrator. The car costs like a million dollars to buy but its actual production cost is 6 million dollars plus. Its a big PR exercise for Volkswagon. I'm sure the guys who can afford to buy these can afford to fix them also !!!

On similar lines only 399 Enzo's were made and 4 or 5 of them have already been totalled.

This update looks good...

"
Yesterday insurance assessors began working out whether the hand-built French motor was repairable — or the most exclusive write-off on the planet."
and
"A Bugatti spokesman said: “If it can be repaired, it will be quickly and efficiently. The owner will be looking at a substantial bill.” "

How would you feel totalling the most expensive car in the world and the best part You dont own it...

well the filthy idiot is totaly out of proportion did you guys know the car made by shelby the cobra were only 400-odd but half of it have been totaled not like all the half of the drivers wee bad ones they were totaled because in those days that much power was unheard of so there must have been some reason like the one stated he hit a water puddle.

ps:imagine all those amazing cars piled up sigh.....

Structural damages are still a concern eventhough you don't see any major visible exterior damage.

Buddy something wrong with your math here. 830,000 Euros is 4.9 crores (1 Euro = Rs.59).

Btw, i thought that the car is worth 800K and this buyer bought it for 100K more.

How can the cost of the repair be equivalent to cost of the car
