I can see ford launching this in India before Suzuki launches the Jimny. Hope by end of 2020 all these beauties are there in India.

The iconic B.R.O.N.C.O. is back finally! The specs and pics show that this machine has great potential. 7 speed manual/10 speed auto, 1.5 or 2L ecoboost engine options, and various off road electronics which make it a proper SUV material. Interestingly, the Bronco sport is cheaper (starts at $26,500) than the bronco 2 door and 4 door versions. But difference is that bronco sport gets sync 3 as well as non detachable roof/door and the others get sync 4.

I hope Ford India manufactures, builds and launches the bronco in India ASAP without juggling features. They can use the EcoBlue 1.5 diesel and a 1.6 ecoboost petrol to balance pricing and FE. 2.0 twin turbo ecoblue diesel for the range topping variant would be an icing on the cake.

Considering the Bronco is priced exactly the same as the Wrangler in the US, I predict a CBU would be in the 65+ lakh range if it's brought here. I hope they bring em here. We need to see more beautiful offroaders on our streets!

Oh my my!! This is a sexy looking car!

Ford is a bit lethargic in India but extremely enthusiastic in their home country. Bronco is another example after Raptor and few other cars like their GT!

Bronco reminds me of Defender! Mostly the 4 door version reminds me of that boxy design the new Defender is!

I’m doubtful if this masterpiece will ever set its rubber on indian Tarmac, ever, like their cousins Raptor / GT ever did.

I am in love with the Bronco especially the 4 door because of the 2.7 V6 turbo not so much the Sport as that is based off of a Ford Escape. 35inch beadlock rim's from the FACTORY! It can't get more off roady than this. It also gets some genuinely useful stuff like a proper ladder frame chassis, a place to mount your go pro and phones on the dashboard, trail mapping and sharing, diff locks front and rear, hose-able interiors with drain plugs and more!

Love the Defender as well but I think Land Rover missed the mark compared to the Bronco. Its based on a monocoque chassis and the accessories packs are more novelty than useful. I think Bronco has it licked off road. Only if Ford launches this in Australia! Bronco is loosely based off Ford Ranger platform and the Ranger was developed in Australia and has quite a following here in the personal pick up market. I feel this car is perfectly suited for Australia.

The first casualty of Bronco perhaps won't be Wrangler, it would be - the Fiat Jeeps, Compass and renegade, now you no longer need to put up with FCA for an offroady small crossover.

This makes Bronco Sport the most important product in the range , If only Ford puts all their muscle behind it.

Bit of Range/Land Rover cues. But then they owned them before. I see that inspiration from Mini to Swift to Jimny etc. This is how simple Harrier should have been instead of overdoing things. I have a post more than 5 years old or older where I said Tata should get the dies for Discovery for side panels and trunk for the next Safari !

The Ford Bronco design cues derive huge inspiration from the LR Defender in my view. Even the proportions are very similar to the new Defender. However within that outline they have ended up with a very unique proposition in terms of design.

Those factory fitted 35 inchers look wicked. Given the JV between Mahindra and Ford it may be a possible route to get the Bronco to India.

In the developed world soccermoms and football WAGs are the biggest consumers of these products than the adventurers and explorers! The LR Defender is set to be a favourite in this segment and Ford will be high fiving themselves if they ace this user group.

BBC Top gear has very fittingly eulogised the Bronco lately. The first to the latest, featured in the 14 image slider are eye candies.
The absence of the Bronco from 1996-2021 is felt.

Ironically, we here have news that Great Wall Motors has copied the 2021 Bronco design as reported by The Drive. Peter Holderith has reported this news.

For whatever reason, Chinese automakers like to copy designs from American and European automakers. There are clones of Land Rovers, BMW X5s—if you can name it, there's a sino-sourced lookalike. The new 2021 Ford Bronco was released just five days ago and, as Autoblog reports, the Wey P01 is already floating around the internet.

For some context, Wey is a brand formed in 2017 by Great Wall Motors, an automaker who's been active in China since the ‘80s. They have various automotive dealings with western companies such as BMW, and in the past, they've thought about buying out Chrysler.

Pity these copycats, imitators and fakes like Wey, who have no ingenuity or design abilities but blatantly copy new designs from elsewhere.

I always maintained that I will not buy a car above Ford Endeavour, it was the topmost choice for me, but Bronco if it lands in India can really sway my decision (and wallet and sanity). This is one car that Ford needs to bring, The sports version will definitely be a success here.
