| ![]() The rear looks to generic. It could be any hatchback until you stick a Honda badge on the back. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Nice model. Jazz for young folks (should be price cut) and city hatch for family oriented people. Thinking of City like rear leg room in a hatch, would trump all the hatches out there. |

| ![]() Slightly off topic. ![]() Has Honda decided to rope in the designers of the 4th generation Mercedes A Class hatch? The rear has a striking resemblance to the A. ![]() Source of image: Google |

| ![]() With the next gen Jazz becoming 'oft cited' too expensive for India, Honda could very well bring this hatchback here. Especially since this looks like an ordinary hatchback unlike the kawai new Jazz. But again, not being under 4m would be a problem. Still, Honda has an opportunity here to bring the new hatch in the 1.5l i-MMD hybrid configuration. Sure, it wouldn't have any tax benefits. But could very well be a platform to launch a full hybrid in the mass market. |

| ![]() Put the car on good amount of Steroids and please bring a pseudo SUV based on the all new City. We don't need the HRV, as a City based pseudo SUV will suffice for average Joe. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Interesting, however i don't think this will be sub-4m (Jazz, WRV) and instead will become something like S-Cross. While S-cross is designed as a crossover(remember S-cross vs Creta early battle?) and City hatch looks low slung. Is there a market for this in India(because this is listed under indian car scene) ? |

| ![]() Its pricier than the City in Thailand ![]() Guess this won't make it to India, very few people would be willing to pay higher than the price of a City sedan for a smaller City with a boot. |

| ![]() This looks amazing, IMHO. To me, as a 2012 Jazz owner who doesn't want to upgrade to a sedan, this looks like a great option. |

| ![]() This looks really good. Honda could bring this to India under CBU import quota in limited numbers. Even at a 16-17 lakh on-road price, I am sure it will have its niche clientele. I, for one, would prefer this over the sedan any day |

Only in India does City command a much higher premium for the sedan factor. One might argue that the Jazz for Thailand gets the 1.5 iVTec, but even the City there is a 1.0 Turbo iVTec. ![]() | |

| ![]() Hello BHPians, This is my first post after my membership approval. I just tried to modify the city hatch to see if Honda can make it a city cross and launch it as a competitor to the Korean twins. All that I did was reduced the front overhang and increased the ground clearance and this is what I got. ![]() If Honda can launch it with magic seats and the existing features of regular city with the sweet 1.5L iVTEC engine, it can be a sensible option for many people who are looking to buy either Creta/Seltos. I feel that even if Honda launches it with a higher price tag than the 5th gen city, there will be takers for it considering the fact that it will have the roomiest rear seat, flexibility with the magic seats and best petrol engine when compared with its rivals. |

| ![]() From the Indian market perspective, this is more of a crossover on the lines of S-Cross and if brought to India would be at max 50k cheaper than the City. Even in that scenario, the corresponding part sharing benefits wouldn't be enough due to the expected low volume sales for both the cars (both the segments - Sedan and Crossover are not doing well in numbers). Hence, a similar sized SUV would make more sense. I don't know why they are not bringing in the HRV soon enough. Having nothing below CRV in the segment is almost criminal in the current Indian market. |
