Hi Guys,

I had visited the recently held annual motor show at Geneva. The show
simply blew my mind away. I had the privilege to check out all the
latest models by all the major manufacturers in Europe including Fiat!

The Fiat Group was fantastic. The group includes:

01. Fiat
02. Alfa Romeo
03. Lancia
04. Ferrari
05. Maserati

Hi Guys,

I couldn't get much time to write about the Fiat Group in Geneva Motor
Show. So here I go:

Bravo: I really wanted to see this one. The car looks super cool and
comes in equally cool colors. The boot is a massive 400 liters! The
build quality is a good. (The build quality of the VW group (Audi, VW,
Skoda) of cars was in a league of its own.)

Grande Punto: Very stylish hatch. The gear changes were super smooth.
There is enough space and when introduced, it will surely annihilate
other hatches. Cool dude.

Croma: I never really liked it in the photos but the impression
changed when I saw the real thing. It has loads of space and is an
ideal family estate.

Panda: Cute and smart. Has space almost equal to Palio but is better
built. I really felt that this should be introduced in India since it
was clearly better than Santro/Zen/Wagon/Indica.

The build quality of all the above cars is miles above the current
Palio that we own. Fiat has evolved and has been serving the European
markets with the best of their line up. The interiors of all the cars
were top notch. The leather used was far superior to anything found on
Indian cars. Our Palio seems a decade old when compared to its newer
cousins!

Lancia and Alfa Romeo share very similar interiors and build quality.
But similarities end there. The Lancia is being marketed as an elegant
royal brand and Alfa as a sporty one. Alfa 8c Competizione has amazing
road presence and is a huge sports car.

The Fiat group had carefully isolated the brands Ferrai, Mazerati and
Abarth from the rest of their brands. These were displayed at
different locations with very different themes. The Ferrari enjoyed
tremendous respect in the show and was in my opinion the King out
there (let’s forget the Veyron).

On the whole, it was a very professional display by the Fiat Group and
clearly displayed their vision and commitment.

Hoping to see these Italian beauties on Indian roads,
Sushanth

Thanks for that report and pics.
One query though: Of all the cars on display, you only concentrated on Fiat?

Simple. I've always been a big Ferrari fan and I own a Palio.
