15,000th Lamborghini Urus rolls off the production line

Lamborghini has built the 10,000th Urus SUV. Chassis no. 10,000 has rolled off the assembly line in Sant'Agata Bolognese and is headed to a customer in Russia.

The milestone car is finished in Nero Noctis Matt Black exterior colour. It also comes with the carbon fibre package. On the inside, the car gets dual-tone black and orange interiors with carbon fibre trim pieces.

Ever since its launch, the Urus has been best selling model in Lamborghini's line-up. In 2019, the carmaker sold 4,962 units of the SUV and increased the company's total volume by 43% to 8,205 units. During the same year, Lamborghini sold 50 units of the Urus in India.

The Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 641 BHP and 850 Nm. The all-wheel drive SUV can reach from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 306 km/h.

While not exactly the same, but in many ways, the Urus is to Lamborghini what the Cayenne was to Porsche. It'll outsell all other products from the brand and will greatly expand its market. Practicality makes sense not just in India, but even USA & Europe where SUVs are all the rage. I read somewhere that 70 - 80% of Urus owners are first-time Lamborghini owners.

The SUV Craze has taken over in all the price ranges. Seems like a great achievement for Lamborghini, taking into consideration their cost. I think in India there are almost about 65 Urus present. For about 20% of the customers the Urus is their first Supercar.

Its a resounding success for Lamborghini. Practical 5 seater SUV with breathtaking performance is a ideal combo for the rich enthusiast who wanna go out on a joyride with his family. With its attractive colors, jaw dropping power, comfortable seats, no wonder it became a sensation.

These SUVs from the supercar manufacturers are great for enthusiasts. These cars will keep ringing the cash registers and they can use that money to come up with enhancements in new sport cars. Porsche is pretty much operating the same way for more than a decade. Look at the way they're working on 911 to keep it relevant even in this decade with tough competition.

If the manufacturers keep working only on sports cars, they will go bankrupt in todays market. Aston Martin, Ferrari is also coming up now with SUVs now. Expecting McLaren also to follow steps sooner are later.

A new record for Lamborghini Urus. It became the most produced model in the shortest time since its launch in Automobili Lamborghini’s history: 15,000 Super SUVs since its launch in 2019.
