Nissan is working on a new system that'll allow your car to warn you before you drunkenly plow over a gaggle of pedestrians trying to cross the street. By using phones equipped with GPS, the system would be able to tell where people were before you got to them, warning you in advance if there were people around a blind corner or something like that.
It's a great idea, at least in theory. What I want to know is how Nissan plans to get all this pedestrian data from people's phones. As it stands, GPS phones aren't in constant contact with GPS satellites due to how much juice that would use from the battery. Instead, people need to tell their phone to locate them using GPS. How would this system function without phones both being connected to GPS at all times and people being willing to have their phones broadcasting their location at all times? I can't see it happening. Sorry, Nissan. — Adam Frucci

There's only so much technology can do to aid a driver. If the driver himself is incapable, any add-on becomes an overkill.

That is one technology that would be more pain in crowded cities of india and the world . It would be beeping at all the corners that i would go mad
