New Volkswagen Polo GTI design sketch released; unveil in June 2021

Volkswagen has released the first official design sketch of the new Polo GTI, ahead of its world premiere in June 2021.

The new iteration of the sporty hatchback will be based on the 2021 Polo, which was recently had a mid-cycle refresh and was unveiled last month. Similar to all the previous versions, the new Volkswagen Polo GTI will continue to be the sportiest model in the hatchback's lineup.

The new GTI will continue to come with a high-torque front-wheel-drive setup and a dynamically tuned sports chassis. As a result, the car is expected to offer sporty driving dynamics combined with everyday usability.

I am glad they are bringing back the design of VW Scirocco in to a GTI. Scirocco being the sexiest VW hatch ever. At least this way we get to have it in the US.

The facelifted Volkswagen Polo GTI has been revealed

- It looks the same as the latest sixth-gen Polo but gets a handful of cosmetic tweaks and Matrix LED headlights
- Powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine making 204 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque
- Paired to a seven-speed DSG gearbox
