Roush Ford GT

Quote:
Essex boy

Just as Jeremy comes to terms with swapping his Ford GT for a Lamborghini, along comes the Roush 600RE.
If this ain't the meanest looking supercar on the block, we don't know what is.
Developed at the Roush Technical Centre in Essex, the 600RE shows that Britain still knows how best to make a GT40 and that Essex boys just can't help themselves when it comes to tinkering with Fords.
Low, lithe and not a little scary, the 600RE has an uprated supercharger, tuned exhaust and must-have black-painted alloy wheels.
There's also tinted glass to keep the outside world guessing about who's inside and a plaque to let you know which of the limited run of 10 cars you're sitting in.
But you know what they say: you can take the supercar out of Essex, but not Essex out of the supercar...

I dont mind this Ford GT, this is what i fell in love with, about 6-8 months back..awesome looking and powerful as hell beast(1500 rwhp = 1700 crank hp)..

Love the flames on it..

Check it out..

Ford GT Twin Turbo

Now this would bea car to own, I cant imagine how they would get that kind of power down to the ground, nothing short of drag radials would work..

1300whp Twin Turbo Ford GT vs 1089whp Ford GT

800 odd bhp

Video - Twin Turbo Ford GT - IMV Films. Joe decides to take his exotic red Ford GT supercar to the next level. Twin GT35R turbos are installed, making around 830 horsepower.

Spotted in Delaware

Spotted this beauty on Monday, 3rd March 2008 at the Rest-stop off-I95, in Delaware, around 11.00am or so.

Was returning to my car when I spotted it.

Luckily had a camera on me - so whipped it out and took a few quick pictures - it was beginning to catch attention, so could only take so many pictures.

Enjoy!

ps. Ignore the date on the pictures - the camera's date is set to IST, not EST.

Nice lookin GT40 (kit car?) Looks very well maintained and clean.

Would have looked hotter in red or black but nice nevertheless.

I've always liked the Ford GT. Happened to see one in Houston long time ago.
Picture this..I'm in the 2nd lane (next to the fastest lane,ie). Doing 75mph. I see this GT on the 1st lane, getting bigger & bigger in my RVM, and the next thing I see..the guy flies past me at anything close to 100mph.
The guy had some guts to drive like that in the downtown area,at 4pm!

I am sorry to say that, that is not a GT40 but a replica. The glass house looks like Camaro/trans am. But then since you actually thought it to be a GT40 the owners efforts are not in vain!!

Never occured to me that it'd be a replica - that's for you experts to work out.
If it fools a few more duffers like me, I wouldn't mind owning a replica .
