Here it is, the Aventador Ultimae, the final version of Lamborghini's hugely-popular V12 supercar. Details are scarce at the moment, but it is said that the Ultimae will be even more powerful than the SVJ, minus the wild wings. Can't wait to see it break cover tomorrow .

Here's a bit more dope on the Ultimae:

The Ultimae will not only be the last Aventador, but also the ultimate Aventador. This version gets 780 hp, 10 more than the SVJ. The Ultimae will look a bit less extreme, because the car will not get a spoiler. According to our source, the Ultimae will largely match the SVJ in terms of looks, with the front bumper of the Aventador S. This description matches what we saw on the teaser. It is probably the car that was already spotted last year.

Because of course you can never have enough Aventador variants, the Ultimae comes as a Coupé and as a Roadster. In total, there will be another 600 cars: 350 coupés and 250 roadsters. And that finally finally falls the curtain for the Aventador.

Looks stunning, always liked the clean design of the Aventador S. Can't imagine SVJ owners will be too happy with its arrival. Does anyone else feel as though the Aventador is being milked at this point, don't get me wrong, I love the Aventador as much as the next person, but can't help but think it's time to retire the Aventador.

Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae revealed, available in coupe and roadster versions.



The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 produces 780 PS at 8,500 rpm and 720 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The Ultimae tips the scales at only 1,550 kilograms (dry), making it 25 kg lighter than the Aventador S while offering the same power-to-weight ratio as the SVJ.



The Ultimae will have all-wheel drive and use Lamborghini’s automated single-clutch ISR seven-speed transmission. It will also get the actively steered rear axle that was launched with the Aventador S, this able to respond to steering inputs in a claimed five milliseconds.

The 0-62mph time comes of just 2.8sec and a top speed of 221mph, the Ultimae claims the crown as the fastest road-going Aventador.



A new front bumper has similar teeth to the Aventador S, but benefits from an active splitter and intake flaps, providing the Ultimae with SVJ-rivaling aerodynamic efficiency and cooling.



The rear sees an active wing with three positions - maximum performance, maximum handling, and closed.



Both Ultimae variants are equipped with magnetic pushrod suspension, rear wheel steering, and carbon ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers in the rear.



Just 600 units of the Ultimae will be built, 350 coupes and 250 roadsters.



Inside, an optional laser-cut repeating “Y” pattern with a contrast backing color on the seats and dashboard is an Ultimae exclusive. The car’s comfort seats are shared with the Aventador S and feature “Ultimae” embroidered on the bolsters, and the A-pillar on the driver’s side displays what number your car is.



The TFT digital dashboard is fully configurable, and it can display drive modes as well as control in-car connectivity.



The Aventador Ultimae will make its physical debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 8-11; pricing has not yet been announced.

The last pure naturally aspirated V12 from Lamborghini. Take a bow, this is one fine car that has matured gracefully over a decade. This V12 Lamborghini still looks sharp and razor focused just as it was back in 2011. The curtain call means that the 350 coupes and 250 roadsters will be the last fresh factory made cars from which owners can experience that true V12 note. As they have rightly said, 'It takes time to become timeless' !

Looks cool! The Aventador was already cool and then we have this.

Seems like the designers are always designing the final version and call it a day, and then go back home and in their sleep start rolling and thinking "if only I could have added something more to it..." and then make another version.

Final Lamborghini Aventador rolls off production line.

Lamborghini sends off the Aventador with one final model—the LP 780-4 Ultimae Roadster, that marks the end of an era.

This will be the last pure naturally-aspirated V12 Lamborghini to be produced in Sant’Agata Bolognese before the company enters full hybridization.
