2023 Honda CR-V Spied:

This new version sees a continuation of the upright mesh grille design we’ve come to know in the updated Ridgeline and Passport. From other spy shots floating around, it seems the smaller American-market HR-V will get this treatment in its redesign as well, in a short while. at the moment what specific elements will change from the A-pillar rearward, but the general theme seems to lean toward a more assertive stance than the model we know right now.

Unlikely it will come to India that too at reasonable price. Honda is not even trying to launch lower speced SUVs from their global portfolio into India. They still hope that they will be able to develop an India specific version at reasonable cost. Creta twins, Harrier twins, Hector twins and XUV700 have changed the market dynamics a lot. If you add Punch, Nexon, Breeza and Venue into this practically majority of market gets covered. Honda wants to offer out dated technology at reasonable price or latest technology at too much price but as customer we are now spoilt for better choices. Soon even Toyota will find it hard as Fortuner for sure will be affected. With cut throat pricing of Carnes even Crysta will feel the heat.

Honda needs to bring in global product that too at decent price. It can be slightly over-priced and people with still take it. After all, Indian customers are getting matured too.

2023 Honda CR-V seen in China for the first time.

The SUV will continue to come offered with 7-seats.

The side mirror is now installed on the door panel possibly to help eliminate blind spots for the driver since the SUV is now larger than before.

The all-new Honda CR-V will measure 4,703 x 1,866 x 1,680 mm in length, width, and height while its wheelbase will measure 2,701 mm.

The all-new generation will still feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that has the same displacement as the current engine output of 193 PS.

The first images of the sixth-generation Honda CR-V have leaked online. It is expected to replace the current model globally later this year.



The new CR-V is 132 mm longer and 13 mm taller than the outgoing model. The wheelbase has also gone up by 39 mm to 2,701 mm.

The CR-V gets an all-new exterior that is in line with the brand's latest design philosophy. The front features a hexagonal radiator grille with a chrome strip on top. The grille is flanked by slim LED headlamps.



At the rear, Honda has retained the CR-V's familiar L-shaped tail lamps. The rear bumper has a large black cladding with twin chrome exhaust tips.

Reports suggest that the sixth-gen CR-V could be offered with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, a 2.0-litre hybrid and a 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid engine options.

Can’t believe the new CR-V has both its front end and rear end so extensively copied from 2 brands namely Mazda and Volvo!

Interesting that they copied the Volvo XC60 or took inspiration from it. I hope that this model does come to India. Honda India if you are listening or reading to be appropriate to a loyal Honda CRV user I would advice you to forget the diesel and petrol engine, just plonk the 2.0 eHEV in this CRV and load it to the gills like Skoda did with the Kodiaq and price it at 35-38 lacs ex factory and then see how it has a waiting list as there is a demand for it but if you overcharge and underdeliver then no one will buy it. I hope they bring it I am looking to buy another CRV as nothing can beat the versatility that the CRV offers.

Honda desperately needs to bring in good cars into India, market is open, very few competition, this is the right time for them to strike big.

Whatever said and done, we poor Indian auto enthusiasts (in India) do not have the privilege of experiencing/owning most/any of the Honda's global products. And this upcoming CRV may be no exception. Thanks to the Governments unfriendly policies and taxes and of course ambiguous make in India policy. Ultimately we are the sufferers.

Neverthless, I definitely want this CRV in India as an attractive alternative in the 35L-50L range.

Many may be thinking that it is exact half of the from front and rear, but no! May be the camera angle, but it is not the exact half. How come the shark fin antenna comes to one side of the "H" logo! When added the other half, we can see the effect. (See the double shark-fin antenna. )
