The Aston Martin DBX SUV has been a huge success for the British luxury carmaker, bringing in large volume sales across international markets. Now, the British carmaker is said to be testing a more powerful variant of the SUV, with an expected launch sometime in 2023.



According to a media report, the new Aston Martin DBX variant will be an uprated performance-oriented variant of the SUV. Reports suggest that the new and more powerful variant is expected to feature a large V12 under the bonnet.

The new performance variant has been recently spotted testing at the Nurburgring in Germany. The new sportier version is said to be called the 'DBX S' and will feature a more aggressive design, with a larger front grille and air intakes, revised bodywork, upsized brakes, lowered suspension and a bunch of other updates.



The V12 engine for the DBX will be borrowed from the brand's DB11 AMR model, which is said to produce 630 BHP. This will put it in direct competition to the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. However, Aston Martin is yet to make any official confirmation regarding the use of the V12 on its SUV offering.

New 2022 Aston Martin DBX 707 is most powerful luxury SUV.


- The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 of the regular DBX is carried over, the 707 gets a bump to 707hp. That’s a 157hp increase, along with a bump to 900Nm of torque from 800Nm.

- Power is sent to all four wheels, though a nine-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox has been fitted in place of a torque converter unit. This allows for quicker gear changes, along with a new launch control mode.

- The DBX 707’s 0-62mph time down from 4.5sec to 3.3sec

- A redesigned grille said to be the largest ever fitted to an Aston Martin, and now comes with double-stacked slats.

- 22-inch alloy wheels as standard too, which can be upgraded for 23-inch versions.

- Carbon-ceramic brakes are now standard-fit too

- A new centre console has been fitted, along with new dedicated buttons for suspension and gearbox modes.

- There’s an active exhaust button to hear the full grunt of the V8.

- Sports seats now come as standard, though comfort-oriented ones are a no-cost option, with 16-way electric adjustment.
