Nice...

I bet a certain Mr. Schumacher would be involved in the designs..

A rev limit of 10,000 RPM

That is totally insane. The F430 is a fabulous car and one of Ferrari's best in the modern era. My feeling is the new car should debut early 2009. To improve on the F430 is really something but Ferrari will surely do it and with perfection.

Wonder what Lambo would be thinking at this moment

Indeed F30 according to me its the best ferrari produced till date...an apt successor to it would really have to be something really worth watching...

The battle is really on between Ferrari and Lamborghini...
The 599 v/s LP640 ( its LP640 all the way!!)
and 430 v/s Gallardo (430 wins hands down!!)

and V12 the back of the 599 doesn't look like a Hyundai!

Sorry but the Gallardo just owns the F430. Ferraris are nothing special. Even the Enzo handles like crap, as evinced by that Eddie Griffin video.

Agreed!!

Always loved the Lambos over ferraris...plus you see soo many of them here in Sydney (Ferraris) that makes you wonder if they are an explicit bunch..

Can't say that about Lambos coz you dont see em that often and when you do...makes your spine tingle!!

Just hope that they dont start making Ferraris by the 1000s..losses exclusivity..

Sorry for going OT.

Well i agree that the Ferrari's are nothing special in comparison...but considering the options i reckon it will be a very close call between the 2 of them...never had the privelage to comment on the handling on either of them moreover how a car handles is also a personal thing to quite an extent...just coz one pro driver comments on it...its not to announce the car has bad handling.

The replacement looks nothing special, just some tweaks to the F430 design(infact looks more like a lambo) and they are done, lame..

I like the F430 but go for a Gallardo anyday..

As for Ferrari making 1000s, well they already are making 1000s / yr F430, 612, 599 all constitute about 3-4k per year, i could be off as well but not by much i think..where as lambos are still being made in less than 1000 total per year for both the models..

Ferraris handle like a dream, to say Eddie was not able to handle an Enzo doesnt meant Enzo or Ferraris done handle well, what doesnt handle well is a Porsche Carrera GT or a Lambo LP640, there are things that all the great car manufacturers do beautifully..

Lambos are rare, powerful and extravagant
Ferraris are passionate and poised
Astons are beautiful and luxurious
Porsches are well almost always ugly but good value for money with great balance

So I think all of them are special but for me Lambos would always be the first choice..

It would be interesting to see this new F450 but i think this is more like a semi replacement as F430 couldnt pass the american airbag regulation, so Ferrari had to come out with something to replace the F430 for their biggest market as 2008 was the last year they could sell the F430s..

I don't get it. Since they are testing the new car with the test mules based around the F430 CS, does it mean that the replacement will have the same frame and dimensions?

Besides, I'd opt for a Lambo anyday. They're much more mean, raw supercars!

seeing ferraris in bombay always got my heart pounding, but the day i saw that awesome red murcielago.. my heart just plain stopped !!! that awesome sound, the sheer road presence.. mind blowing.. Lamborghini's have a super natural thing about them.. on seeing a ferrari, I have a lot of thoughts in my mind (wonder how it handles, accelerates,etc..) , on seeing a lambo I just couldnt think of anything except stare at it till it dissappered out of sight and yet kept staring in that direction for few moments after she was gone..

Somehow the red pic reminds of spiderman!! just hope this is just a prototype design....it simply added more aggressive lines to the 430...
c'mon Ferrari im sure u can do a better job....dont be like maruti or tata...where u introduce a different bumber and taillights and say the all 'new' and improved zen!
