First pics of the 2023 Honda Accord has surfaced.

Of course, it's hard to tell anything from these. Except the next Accord will retain the general silhouette of the current model. Just like the 2022 Civic, there won't be many changes under the body. Powertrains are expected to be pretty much the same as they are now. Same platform etc.

I'll be watching out eagerly for this one, Accords (especially the touring sport) give you fantastic value for money. Also is it just me or does the rear look like a mix of the Audi RS7 and Tesla Model S under camouflage?

Honda seems to be working on a new-generation iteration of its Accord sedan for the international market. Prototypes of the new-gen Honda Accord have been spied undergoing testing, wrapped in heavy camouflage.



As seen from the spy images, the test mules of the upcoming Accord sedan can be seen with a sleek headlamp setup with integrated LED DRLs and turn indicators. The sedan also features a new grille, along with a revised front bumper. At the rear, Honda seems to have overhauled the entire design, with newly styled LED tail lights, bumper and boot lid.



The overall dimensions of the upcoming Honda Accord seem to remain mostly identical to the current model. The company is also expected to bring in multiple updates to the cabin, both in terms of layout and features on offer. Powertrain details of the next-gen Honda Accord are yet to be announced.



As per reports, Honda is expected to unveil the next-gen Accord sometime in late 2023.

I had the fortune of owning a 2020 Accord 2.0T with the 10-speed AT. I hope the same engine is carried forward. If that happens, would love to have it in my garage again

The next-generation Accord will be a cleaner design than the current model.
Although, unlike the Civic, it looks like the Accord will still have some personality.

Since this has been spied in the US, so your chances to lay your hands on this one will improve if you relocate to the US

Just curious, is this coming to India anytime in near future?

Even if I did relocate to the USA, it'd be useless since I am not an adult and cannot buy a car. I was just generally commenting, since I've had a soft spot for Accords (ok, any big sedan) for a while now.

And no, I really doubt that this will ever come to India. The Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry aren't selling in mind-blowing numbers and definitely not enough to get Honda to consider re-entering this segment.

Honda has somewhat gone the BMW way, hasn't it ? E60 to F10, E90 to F30 and so on. After Honda's recent quirkiness, this feels so good. Or maybe I am just tired of seeing the current Accord on KSA roads. Seriously though, the best place to view this Accord from is the face, which is where the current Accord looks the worst :



And those AC vents. On the interior front too, it has gone the BMW way. The F series of cars were a huge step-up from the E series in terms of interiors.

On the performance front, there is nothing to be worried about. The 2.0 with the 10 speed is an absolute sleeper. So we can expect this one to be as good or even better.

I just wish we get something like this in India. Even if not the Accord, the HRV to compete with the Creta, Vitara, Harrier etc. or a 7/8 seater to compete with the Safari, XUV700 and the likes. Hopefully, Honda makes a comeback in the Indian market just like it's gotten better in the International market.

I wonder why Honda discontinued it? It was a proper sleeper with the 10 speed autobox.

Anyways, with the Sonata about to be discontinued, this is still good enough because sadly, this segment has kept losing options very quickly in the recent years . Hopefully, this Accord is as successful as it's predessecors.

The 2023 Accord has the same exterior design language as the Amaze. The overall silhouette has that family look. It looks beautiful overall.

In recent years, the rear of all Honda sedans has lower drooping stance compared to the earlier iterations which had more upright/raised rear.
The boots capacity also seems to be on the lower side (in relative terms compared to the Superb)

The front overhang is huge, while the protruding bumper beyond the front wheels looks elegant, the overhang would score lower on the clearance aspect on our roads.

Nothing can match the comfort and driving pleasure that a sedan offers. I sincerely hope that sedans continue to thrive in the automobile market.
