Hyundai could be working on a facelift version of its current-generation i20 hatchback.
The facelift version of the premium hatchback has been spied testing internationally for the first time. Spy images of the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift showcase the car completely camouflaged, revealing little to no details.
The images are of the rear three-quarter profile of the car, showcasing only the ORVMs, partially covered side body panels and a hint of the LED tail lights, all of which seem to be carried forward without significant changes. There are no images of the front end or the interiors, both of which are expected to get the majority of the updates.
Internationally, the upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift could continue to be powered by the same powertrain options as the current model. The hatchback is expected to make its debut sometime in late 2023. The facelift version will also make it to Indian shores, albeit without the diesel powertrain.

I honestly don't think it might be a major update to the design, but I really hope they add features like ventilated seats, auto-dimming IRVM, auto-wipers (these three are big misses), 360° cameras, factory-fitted dash-cam (more like good-to-have), etc.
And yeah, a heartfelt plea to have a proper manual transmission with three pedals, even if it is only for that N-line variant.

I wonder if we’ll be able to retrofit the new Alcazar like instrument cluster on existing i20s. That’s the one thing I feel is lacking in my N line.
That's looks really cool... Love the wheels and front face with the DRL. Quite different from the design language we see in the Elantra & Verna.
I am guessing the facelifted version will hit the Indian shores early next year or might be this year as well as I don’t see Hyundai having any other launches after the Exter. Reportedly, they have pushed the launch of the new Creta in Q1 of 2024. The indian spec will carry the same design but Hyundai will somehow incorporate drls on the bumper for the lower-end trims. Hopefully it comes with a Turbo Manual.
Holy smokes! Those alloys look killer. Hyundai's really been on the edge with their designs lately, loving this new avatar. I'm also digging this lime green-ish shade, just fab.
Looks great for sure, the question is, would they provide the same version here in India or give a striped down version with low GNCAP rating car?
Unfortunate part is Hyundai has taken India for granted and provide substandard products here in India, the same cars outside of India has higher GNCAP rating.
