Tesla Cybertruck will come with a DIY-style solution to remove scratches

The Tesla Cybertruck has been one of the most anticipated EV pickup trucks, ever since its first unveil a couple of years back. The truck comes with a unique design and a complete stainless steel exoskeleton. The stainless steel exteriors although tough and durable, is prone to scratches & other minor damages.

To fix this, Tesla will be offering a DIY-style solution which will allow owners to remove the scratches themselves. Tesla's Chief Designer, Franz von Holzhausen, confirmed the same on a recent international podcast.

He mentioned how the company has spent time developing a finish on the Cybertruck, which when scratched, can be easily buffed out by the owners themselves. Holzhausen added that there is an intentional finish that has been applied, allowing the easy removal of the scratches. The stainless steel finish is said to be different and not something seen on a refrigerator or the DeLorean.

Reports state that the Cybertruck is said to go into production sometime this year at the brand's Gigafactory in Texas, USA. Previously, Elon Musk had mentioned that Tesla will be targeting around 2.5 - 3.0 lakh units of annual production.
