As in the Volkswagen ID. models and the new Passat, the gear position will be changed by means of a selector located to the right of the steering wheel, whose operating principle is very intuitive. The selector is turned forward to "D" to move forward and backward to "R" to reverse, while the parking brake is activated by pressing the side of the selector. All Tiguan models also have paddles behind the steering wheel.
