The original affordable RWD coupe, Nissan 200SX is back, thanks to Hyundai, except it wont look dated like the Nissan but have the latest lines and cuts inspired by best of Maranello. READ ON..

Nice, but nicer still is the new Kia coupe designed by none other than the creator of the Audi TT. I've got a pic here lemme see if I can scan it and upload - it looks absolutely awesome.

Good job by Hyundai with this Tiburon - resembles the 2008 Skyline. They're filling in a currently unaddressed void across various segments.

Dude, thats what we all need. An affordable rear wheel drive sports car. I hope the pricing is close to what it is right now. I dont know if you all agree but some how all these 2 door sports coupe's have become FWD from older RWD or AWD such as the Mitsubishi Eclipse for instance, earlier an AWD turbo charged tuner. I can't wait to see this one!

wow RWD, cheap and V8??? hope the car can corner properly too!!
its looking good from the spy pics.

I dont care how it looks, SOMEBODY JUST MAKE A CHEAP RWD CAR!!!

Best news I've heard all day, Deep. The other one is this:

Welcome back to the rumormill: Toyota developing cheap RWD coupe

The brief is 2200 lbs, 120 hp, and under $12,000 !!!!!

This is how the car will look apparently:

Note the AE86 "Hachi-Roku" RWD corolla in the back.

Lets cross our fingers and hope they make it.

It widens the choice as compared to today when the only cheap RWD auto-x car you can buy is a used Mazda Miata.

He he.. One of my classmates actually recently got a Trueno AE86. For only 4 grands Canadian.

Guys don't underestimate the existing Tiburon as well. The rear suspension was fine tuned by Porsche and till the mid 90's, all Hyundais had Mitsubishi engines. Of course these days, they have their own engine though.

The Tiburon also has a rich motorsport history.

For me the manufacturer "power of dreams" is dreaming a lot less than Hyundai and Kia (No V8s and V10s as of now)

Right now I wouldn't mind if they just launched the Hachi Roku either. The concept Toyota looks brilliant. I hope they have a FIed 4 cylinder option somewhere! OHH...bring back the Levin!!!!!!!!

Sweet and very commendable. Good on Hyundai to bring back RWD in an affordable platform. Differentiation is key in the midst of such competition and the RWD alone will hopefully see many put down their deposits.

Here are the first pictures of the Kia Coupe (didnt have to scan it - its available on the net): (Look carefully to see where the wheels end!)

I like some of Hyundais new designs! Thank goodness there is not too much quirkiness.

Launch it in India, price it under 17, and voila. Hyundai would be looking at some serious image makeover.

Wonder where Tata's Magna went. Was India's best bet at a sub-10 lac RWD sedan; and with 140 horses under the hood, I wonder how much fun it would've been...

There was some news about Kia & Hyundai looking to set a base with their coupe versions. The 2007 Tiburon GT looked pretty aggressive. I like it much more than the 2007 Eclipse. The Eclipse seemed way to feminine, while the Tiburon looked macho & meant business.

Waiting to see if there's something really impressive from the Hyundai/Kia stable..:Cheering:
