Chevrolet Aveo U-VA facelifted model launched

The malaysian aveo hatch[u-va as we call it here] has undergone a facelift as well as a possible engine change 1.2L engine producing 84 bhp.Wonder when this vehicle will come to India, maybe they would do something like the optra magnum they will launch this as soon as they are able to bring in the diesel engines for the U-va.

Quote:
For the past few months the old Chevrolet Aveo hatch was being sold along side the new Aveo sedan, but now Chevrolet has unveiled an updated hatch model, thus completing the Aveo line update

The new Aveo5 hatch will come with either a 84 horsepower 1.2 liter or the existing 1.4 liter 98 horsepower engine. The car will make it’s first public debut at the 2007 and sales will start in March 2008.

Looks like a facelift to me. Barring the front bumper-headlight-grill combo i can't see anything different. Good looking design though. Far better than the sedate- no frills look we have on the U-VA. But better news is the 84bhp 1.2 engine.

The front looks like a lot of "modded swifts" with wire mesh grills & bumper inserts. The headlights look a lot like on the SX4..
