Facelifted Honda city launched -Possible changes for Indian version

A facelifted version of the Honda city has been launched in Malaysia and we may get this in India too by diwali, seems more like a maruti style facelift this time round though.

On the exterior, the new Honda City facelift gets a new honeycomb grille, a glass antenna, side mirror turn signals, and body-coloured mud guards. On the interior, the Ultra Seats now feature a water repellent seat cover, and is now standard on both the i-DSI and VTEC versions. The Ultra Seat foldable rear seat feature was previously available on the i-DSI version only.

The new Honda City facelift is available in Sparkle Grey, Bluish Silver, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Nighthawk Black Pearl and Satellite Silver Metallic

The malaysian version already comes with abs+airbags so was not mentioned, for India we will get abs + airbags for sure but right now don't know exactly which variants will get it and whether it would be optional.

If only the above mentioned are added in the facelifted Indian honda city there would not be much of a price rise but with the addition of climate control, integrated stereo along with airbags and abs it would mean a price rise which would increase the price gap between the NHC and the sx4,so Honda India may just play around with a few options.

Well its just to take the City another year in its life cycle before the new model next year.

And yeah Honda is indeed facing the heat hence they have to do MUL type changes.

IMO, the floating grille looked better than the current honey combed one. Yet again, if this version is launched in India sans airbags and ABS, then that would show how much care an Indian customer can expect from Honda. On the contrary, if airbags and ABS are very much in the picture, we need to be prepared for a price hike (read that as Honda price hike!)

Wished they had re-designed the body of the NHC. I like the honeycomb grill.
ABS,air bags and the other goodies still remain a dream.

Damn why cant Honda re-introduce the OHC body ?I still love the OHC for its looks.

Hey buddy, NHC looks & feels cool man. Once I sat in OHC. And I was like, 'Does this car cost 9L, you are kidding man'. I felt as if I sat in some 80s car.

i prefer the old city to the facelifted one and by the time it comes here it would be atleast a year. everything else would be the same as the current city.

I still feel that they designed the rear in a hurry. It still is very ugly and bulky.

Are we sure that ALL new city is due in next year? any news / links /pics ?

If anybody is planning to take 8 lkh car around december , should he buy the current city or should wait for ALL new city?

And I guess the so called new grill is available as honda accessory right now.
