Who ever designed this, needs immediate therapy.

LOL! I second that.

Hideous is an understatement for this "thing".

I third that.
Hate this

This is supposed to replace the S - Class.
Looks like the world's best car will have to loose the title to BMW 7 Series pretty soon .

This is a concept and I hope it stays a concept. Certainly the ugliest 4 door saloon in the world.
Shan2nu is right.

Was DC somewhere near when It was being design.

I like the interior but the exterior could have been much better.

what does that mean?

It is a hideous looking car though! Just looking at what the next gen S class is going to look like should spur the sales of the current car

Guys! Ain't this a concept?
Mercedes ain't that stupids to come out with something in the open.
They'll take many cues for the next generation S class. That's all.

As for the pics Cyrus posted, I think it's got something to do with a sci fi appearance or so!

As Speedzak pointed out, this is a concept, which means that design features and cues are exaggerated for the sake of prominence.

I'm pretty sure the next S-class isn't going to look like this, but we might see some design characteristics on the next-gen S that will look a leeetle familiar to everyone here on TBHP.

Bugatti : Please watch the tone. The pictures may be from Autogespot, but that doesn't stop anyone from mailing them to Cyrus, does it? So you check the source for each picture you receive in your mail?

Sighhhhhhhhh.....I wish they'd use the 126 or the 140 as a design inspiration. This? Of all the brands, BMW seems to be mending its ways with the new 7 series; they have toned it down bigtime and the car is devoid of any quirky bangle lines. The W221 has presence but is far from timeless.

Love this car. Though I don't see this as a preffered 'business mans car' or a car that will be owned by embassies.

As a concept its wonderfull. One should see that space management in the car, It looks so small from outside, but on the inside it looks supremely spacious.

Design wise it doesn't look very good. But I like this car, but as a replacement to the benchmark 'S' class, this might not cut ice.

Cheers
AC

It looks so spacious because of the ultra wide angle lens used.
