2009 Honda Fit

Spy shots here

Not too much different from the current one. But I like the current one better. I've always thought these are fun cars but never had a chance to drive one. Anyone here driven one?

fun to drive yes. but the old fit was slow and underpowered. merging onto the highway you really had to give it the beans and then too the engine sounded really strained.

Well, I wonder if Honda are going to bring this to India or dump the older version (with cosmetic upgrades, of course) as an all new car next year. We'll see.

The all new Fit will be on display at the Tokyo Auto show and is slated to on sale in Japan late this month!

Looks neat. Reminds me of the Old Civic Type R. 118bhp is pretty good. Even if they detune it to 100, that'l do.

The 118 bhp version is the VTEC or now the i-VTEC. No news on the 1.5 iDSI version.

It's not just about mileage. It's about the quality of fuel in India. While big cities have access to top quality fuel, there are so many places in the country that still run on fuel, that these high output engines might find diff to work with, causing the engine to knock.

Even with our detuned OHC Vtec, i can't just pull into any pump and fill gas. I've had some bad experiences in the past.

And it's not that the engine can't be brought back to it's original setup. Get a detuned car and tune it. It's more fun and satisfying when you do that.

Isn't iDSI technology being put in the cold storage?
