This looks real. But i guess someone must have bought/took the top off a junk yard and put it on a mean army truck chassis with some welding thrown in to give it those nasty flanks.

Whatever it is, there is a GAZ-61 produced before this from mid 30's in low volume.

This looks more like a GAZ 72 that is pobeda bodied 4WD

Niva wasn't as rare as the site said, in the late 80's even UK had quite a lot of them in the countryside, I also had aride in one and it never showed me what it was infamous for.
