Finally!! The FIRST CLEAN BMW design in a decade - The X6

No offence to any owners but I simply hate the looks of the Bangled 7 Series. While the E60 5 series and the E90 3 series are more "acceptable", I still dont see them as clean, proportionate and timeless designs. I was pretty disappointed at the design language that one of my favorite automotive marques had adopted.

Butttttttttttttttttt I was pleasantly jolted out of my anti-Bangle fever when I saw the New BMW X6. Surprise surprise...no quirkiness or any lines out of place. Is this the new BMW design language? Well-proportioned, clean and muscular. I love it!

I like the front. Its muscular and sleek at the same time...kinda reminds me of a jaw barring Panther!
At the same time, i am not impressed with the rear. Too muscular IMO..They could have worked a bit more to make is more appealing or dare i say more BMWish!

BTW..BMW also happens to be one of my Fav Marquees but i am not a bangle hater. I think he did the right thing at that right time and quite a few of his designs are now BMW classics! the Z series for example.

Thanks
Elito!

Im not so sure. While it certainly is quite stunning (like all newly launched Beemers), it just doesn't have that classic pre Bangled understated X factor that Beemers were famous for. Actually to me this car is as Bangled as the others. Im no fan of Bangled cars either, but I do hate them less and less now.

Yes, the rear is a little overworked but still no quirkiness! Does it for me.

Thank you BMW! Looks like an evolution of the old lines. Hopefully the next 5 and 7 series find the same lines too.

Im a big fan of the Bangled BMWs but Id say if anyone were to have a problem with one car, it would be the 3 series. IMO the 7 series carries off the design really well while the 3 series looks a little odd.

As for the X6 - YUCK!!. I hate it.

*Front three quarter's good.
*Rear reminds me of the Supra.
*Green house - from the X3 & X5 ....

Still, something better than being Bangle-ised.

Yuck! It still looks as "bangled" and taste-challenged as ever, front and rear and mirrors.

Where is the wedge line? Don't you still see the bulging Bangle butt. These ugly styling cues were aped by the Japanese. And that is why we have the ugly Honda Accord front end, and why, our own Suzuki "camel" Swift.

This is what happens if you eat raw fish.

I love all the Bangled designs to begin with. And I don't see how this one is any different from the Bangled ones anyways. The front end is evident of that, even sort of looks like the 3 series. The rear is butt fugly! Too high..
