Hehehe... funny one that 360 pic

Remember the Carrera GT who was rear ended by a pick-up truck while the car was being taken home by its owner from the dealership? Well it looked just like a bumper change right? Wrong. The whole monocoque of the car cracked and had to be taken back to Porsche Stuttgart for a massive body repair.

Total bill... A few trinklets... just $1,50,000

Of course, those who buy such cars can afford to get em repaired. Still its a sheer waste of money. Its easy for us to say that the guy behind the wheel of the Carrera GT or the Enzo was at fault. But really driving such cars means you have to have loads of control to handle such power. Remember the F-50? It was sold only to owners who had a minimum of 2 ferraris in their garage and had to be people who take care of their cars or they would be taken back by Ferrari.

The Carrera GT owner was that unlucky. The clutch in the Carrera GT has been accused of being too light and the car stalled when he was rear-ended. Too bad.

P.S. Look out for my post on a crashed Carrera GT.

Was that 2 or 1 Ferrari for F50 and I thought it was 2 for Enzo ...

For some reason the 360 pic looks morphed.

How about the big guns making super cars that are easy to repair? These cars are made to be driven hard...and the harder you drive, more the chances of needing repairs?

I believe the Honda NSX fits the bill of a supercar thats also easy to repair. It did have easily replaceable body panels...
