Who said its enough?

Don't you guys think such posts (like the one from Busa) take the discussion of the thread off focus?

FIAT makes some of the BEST cars in India....period. They have build, speed & handling any enthusiast would crave for. I have a petrol UNO & i am still keeping, not for it's bad resale price, but for it's reliability, speed & handling, hell, with it's Weber carb., it moves like stink & has a MASSIVE midrange pull!

Sorry MF for taking this OT. I love Fiat and its cars, but the way Fiat India is delaying matters is really so frustrating. Infact i might be the first one to trade my Swift Diesel for a Linea/GP but when is it going to be launched.

There is no delay. Fiat has been saying from the beginning that the GP and Linea will be out in the markets by mid-2008. One of the reasons for the mid-2008 launch is that the engine plant at Ranjangaon will be ready only by early 2008.

If i am not mistaken the GP was launched world wide in 2005, and nowadays cars have 4 years life cycle. So launching a car when a new model is around wont help matters much?

You are Busa, the G punto which is going to be launched is grande punto multijet diesel that launch is early or mid 2007 so 1year delay is not a big deal.

^^The cars once launched will do all the talking for themselves..all the good things take time to shape up. And mid 2008 is not too far also.

Yes it was displayed in Frankfurt motor show in mid 2005 and launched inUK in early or mid 2006,late 2006 in Australia and august 2007 in Brasil.
So Busa as you see after Australia it is launched in 2007 in none european market.
Only 4 months back in Brasil,so it is not useless to be launched in here.

I prefer the model, thank you. Anyone else can have the car!

Isn't the car a little short of length to be a four-door? Two door wont make it to India, is there a four door concept somewhere?

doesn't make any difference as far as 4 people can comfortably sit inside Fiat 500. by the way Fiat 500 has got the highest level of safety features during crash test the same cannot be said of other mini cars cheers: cheers
