1. Mini Cooper "S" - For styel.
2. Smart For Two Cabrio - For Mercedes Benz brand name & design.
3. Fiat 500 - For Fiat heritage & modern styling.

does fiat 500 even come close to beat the image of mini?
for me its mini cooper s for the power and style followed by abarth 500

If you are talking about the classic one both are equally iconic in their own right. And were both equally hit in their respective country when it was launched.
mini got a push by winning the Monte Carlo Rally multiple times when the specially tuned version by john cooper were used in that rally. It gain more publicity when it was wrongfully disqualified in the 1966 monte carlo rally.

ALso it was centre piece of the movie that we know very well.

Any day its a Mini for me....it has a rich British heritage and also now the german perfection.

No it does not come close. It's way ahead. In India we're more exposed to the British media (who are experts at creating a hype about their products) and there's hardly ant exposure to other European products.

anyways,for me the mini was,is and will always remain a more stylish image.

Anyway the Fiat 500 is the only car from this lot that you can buy in India.

If I were to choose, I'd go with the 500 considering that it is available off the shelf in India. I did take a test drive of the car when it was launched initially and it drew more stares than compared to Lisa Ray on the ramp

among the 3, i will choose the 500. it looks great, feels great and has some really kewl motors. the mini is too old now despite the facelift. the smart is out of the question.
