Still a rare sight in the US.More popular in the coastal areas: handy to carry surf boards!

Even up north (its Subaru country here!) you'll see mostly Imprezzas and Legacys. People actually prefer the Legacy outback to the Forester.

Quite true. The '08 Legacy is fairly popular here, but again its not as common as the Impreza.

Agree to that Nitin - Legacy is more popular in this area as well - especially when it snows .

I like the previous generation of Impreza, IHMO the new one looks more Korean (Kia looks to be specefic).

Took the words out of my mouth, buddy! Even the new Impreza WRX has that look.Loved the more boxy look of the previous models. The only good thing is the 265bhp!cheers:

it atleast looks like a compact cross over now. Old Forresters were high roofed station wagons.

I'd still get the Outback over this one despite this one being about 5 grands cheaper. More practical and stylish as well.

i personally feel forester look at their best during 2003 to 2005. i own one, i just don like the new shape forester as it makes it llok like any other SUV, but the older foresters are noticed for there looks. might be very simple but is really a sample of SUBARU.

To me it looks like a Outlander with a "dirty" nose job!

I think this new Forester looks quite nice... in the Uk its mostly bought by the farmers...they love the Forester.... The old Forester although nice, was outdated and pricey.
I have a 3.0L Legacy and when it snowed, i had a ball in it... the 4WD is straight out of the Impreza...so its great...

Beautiful car, the Legacy, would love to see pictures of your car.

And by 4WD, I assume you mean AWD?
