hi guys,

i hv been to pakistan in 1999 and visited Atlas Honda factory in Lahore outskirts. i was also suppose to visit suzuki, hyundai and toyota factories in karachi but didnt had the visa for karachi.

pakistan auto industry was way ahead from indians at that time as they were producing toyota and honda before india.

pakistan had motorways/highways much before than india, e.g. lahore islamabad motorway!

its only after india opened up its automarket, that india surged ahead of pakistan.

all the models of suzuki, hyundai, toyota and honda are similar to whats sold in india.

guess what? you will find better quality SUVs and 4x4s in pakistan compared to india. lahore is where i saw my first Wrangler, i fell in love with it!

how are the import norms there i mean apart from duty

what are the conditions on new/old, rhd/lhd imports etc etc?

Oh my, my! People in Pakistan seem to have great taste when it comes to exotics! Would have loved to see a few Lamborghinis too!

I think I read somewhere on the forum that pakistan is a free port for importing vehicles, either that or the duty is very low.

Sorry for digging the thread as i've joined recently and @Rehaan guided me to this thread. Well there are few misconceptions, these pics are really from Pakistan. Altos are produced here but not by maruti, by Paksuzuki infact. The yellow lambos owner is the same guy who Black RR phantom's owner. Hummer pic looks photoshoped thou. And yes i never knew we have so many ferraris here

I thought Pakistan drives on the left (ie rhd cars). All images I see are of lhd cars. Am I wrong, or they are importing mostly LHD cars.

I may be wrong but that is what I observe. Please provide some information.

Pakistan is a Left Hand Traffic country and has RHD cars. This particular car must be a Chinese spec car IMO.
