Sam, change your avatar caption to "The Yeti has struck back".

And have fun!

SAM some pointers for you before you go there and start the car.The M3 is a special car you need to follow a certain protocol in order to drive it.

A Brief Guide to the E92 BMW M3 by revvedup

PRE-STARTUP CHECKS
Go to the BMW guy and tell him to switch DSC and TC completely off.Don't worry about the acronyms(after all you are'nt the engine- vengine types) the BMW guy would undesrtand it and do the needful after a little protest, remember be inistent on switching them off , this is very important

STARTUP RITUAL
The M3 is to be started in a very specific way.First yank the steering completely towards the left or right and then give full throttle with the car in gear. Please do this without asking any questions.

DURING THE DRIVE
Remember during every turn that you take you are required to give more throttle than usual, this is done to warm up the tires.

ONCE THE DRIVE IS OVER
Remember that the tyres of the car should be be completely bald while returning the car ,if the BMW guy asks tell him that the tyres are now slick
and that now he should try it around the ring,he would be very happy.

Again SAM sir remember please follow this guide religiously without asking any questions. This has been prepared by me in consultation with the other engine-vengine types.Have fun:D.
P.S -If you find the above the above strenuous to execute I am more than wiling to accompany you to execute them on your behalf

Just a quick update: I've managed to organise a pretty decent Handycam. :)

Ummm... 250kph? I don't know if I have the courage to go that fast in a LHD car. I want to be safe so I can continue writing for you boys when I return.

otherwise you could just put of traction control and dsc and floor the accelerator. take a video while doing that.:D or just take a video while revving the car to 8500rpm.

Akshay, seriously, I am not a good driver. Nor do I have the experience and expertise that some of you do.

I am not putting any safety features off and I am not going to drive this car till it goes out of control. I don't think anyone should do that, by the way. Sorry for being such a party pooper, but I've never even driven a BMW 3.12 before. Or whatever the entry level BMW is called, lol.

was just joking sam. at least about putting tc and dsc off. just driving in the m3 would be an experience alltogether. and i think the entry level bmw would be a 116i.

have fun sam i've driven thiose roads and they are a piece of engineering just like the cars that drive on em, just one word of caution some times when it rains or snows or whatever the temporary speed limits are put in place and driving up into the alps at this time of yr !!1 um dunno how clean / fae the roads would be esp at night with the black ice and stuff....

Hey it's not diffcult it wont crash as much as Windows 3.11 did. Last night we were watching the members of "Girls Aloud" take a Porsche through it's paces...then Sarah (is she hyper or what) crashed a Ferrari.

That was when Jason Plato was teaching them how to drive fast on a track on Fifth Gear?

Sam, looking at the way you live your life, makes me sit back and introspect as to "What am i doing?!".

Thanks for sharing your experiences here, it really does provide some solace to other less fortunates like me. :)

Cool Sam ! Have fun and take some pics which is needless to say it to you and ofcourse waiting for your report which is always awesome. Drive safe and dont get lost in the alps or else Interpol will be @ you :D ...jus kidding...take it eazy!!

I'm very fortunate to live the life I do. And I am very thankful.
