Mahindra will do better justice to the Jeep brand, because they have actually stuck to the Jeep DNA longer than what Jeep themselves have done.

Jeep even won a legal battle against mahindra for using the term JEEP on thier previous MM540's. That was one of the most famous ones a decade ago i guess.

Now they want mahindra to buy them out, every dog has its day

The thought did occur to me too, but then Cerberus as a VC/Investment Banker are only interested in making a profit from the deal.

What better way than to buy one carmaker off someone who wanted to get rid of it and to sell 3 to buyers who really WANT them? Buy in a buyer's market and sell in a seller's market - isnt that everyone's dream?
