Went for Brisbane Motor Show last week. Nothing extra ordinary but the best part was to see Lexus parking on its own. I wish I could upload the video but the size is 80+ MB.

Enjoy the snaps Brisbane Motor Show

lexus parking on its own?..what does that mean-driver less own its own parking, you mean intelligent lexus.
ram

its possible. had read about a intelligent bmw some time back. the car is parked manually first and the car will record the route, taking readings from - steering, brakes and a host of other things. the car then replicates the route with perfection. am not sure about the Lexus but that's how the BMW worked.

Suppose I have a Beemer and while parking, I scratch the car from one side and the decide that its high time now and let the car park herself on her own. In such a scenario, wouldn't the car scratch itself again considering it has some recordings?

OT: I remember someone talking about intellingent doors which would refrain themselves from touching the other car/metal surfaces when we open the door to get in/out of the car. Wish that was there! Saw a pretty lady bang on her car door to the car parked next to her's just to get out. And let me highlight the fact that there was ample space but just that she wanted the door to open fully!:Frustrati The result, other car's door was spoilt :(

I guess autoparking is doing the rounds for quite a bit ,once can find numerous videos on youtube to see how does it fare. it looks intelligent but sometimes or infact most of the times its a real pain and mostly during parallel parking.
