Callaway C16

Guys, I opened my mail this morning and the first thing I notice is the article from TopGear - Superbad... so I wonder what it could be and I browse through the mag, and lo and behold what do I get, a write up on the latest Corvette to be offered from Callaway, namely the Callaway C16. It is well worth the read... enjoy it, follow the link below.

Sleek! The bump on the bonnet ought to hamper the view onto the road.
Hmm..none-the-less, sweet ride!

There is one each for the driver and passenger, really small ones. you can see if you look closely. Notice that there are no rear view mirrors.

@Mayavi, noticed the absent side view mirrors, but if you visit the link and the read the article you will find why and I quote 'All the switchgear is standard Corvette apart from the satnav screen which, via a couple of rear facing cameras, doubles as the rear-view mirror. ' Now isn't that something.

Heard that the corvette is equipped with leaf springs.

So does this one also come with those.

@kkr2k2, the Callaway has the leaf springs but is in addition to the Eibach MultiPro coil overs, got the following from the Callaway site

"Callaway/Eibach Multi-Pro coil-over suspension with double adjustable dampers, external reservoir with 10-position compression control; companion helper and tender springs supplementing composite leaf springs; front and rear Callaway anti-roll bars, tubular steel."

Best of both worlds, don't you think. The C16 also has lowered ground clearance and adjustable ride height.

Instead of those tiny windscreens, they could consider windscreens that rise up like spoilers as speeds rise.

Though I wonder what kind of experience it would be driving this thing down SV Road at Malad at 8 on Monday evening, eyes shuttling between the telescope in front to keep the front end in sight and the tv screen to keep the rear end safe from the auto wallah behind.
