My 911

Note from Mod - I have split this from this thread. since it was going off topic.

Since we are on the topic...attached is my 911
Its a 996 C4S with a lot of mods. Car is in the US.
Don't see any reason for 911's in India unless you are taking it to the track. I barely get to exploit its full potential on US roads.

The deep dish wheels on that 996 are killer. Love it.

Killer car, desidon! Deep dish black alloys with a chrome outline on a black car is probably the best combination for a Porsche. A rear wing will complete the look. Are there any good after-market options available?

There are many options for fixed wings. The GT2 wing seems to be a popular choice. I would do a wing on a narrow body carrera but IMHO the widebody models like the C4s, Turbo etc have the best butt in the business and I like to leave them alone to enunciate the wide look.

Attaching a rear shot.

Whats the deal with the moderator approving a message before it shows up. Kinda impedes the spontaneity of the forum and introduces major lag.
Why can't the mods delete offensive posts after the fact?

The approval bit goes away after a couple of posts. They only do that with brand new members/newbies.

The 996 Turbo comes with a fixed wing. It looks great. I won't lie though. The booty on the C4S is annoyingly good looking.

The stock 996 turbo wing is more like an extended rear spoiler and it does deploy over 75 mph...so not exactly fixed. The C4s and the turbo booty are the same dimensions(which i love).
Infact the 997 C4s is tough to tell apart because they got rid of the red strip in the rear which has been a C4S trademark since the 993 days.

It's a protective covering for the front end of the car made out of plastic sheeting Cyrus. It covers the front bumper & parts of the bonnet & fender to minimise stone chips from flying debris, pebbles etc. which can be horrendously expensive to get repainted in places like the US.

It's commonly referred to as a Car Bra!!

I know what you mean about the red strip. The 993s my favourite 911 generation.

I also know what you mean about the extended rear spoiler, which itself is fixed, above which rises a little further spoiler at 75mph+. Why not stick on one of these for the entire winged look. It won't hide the strip either.
