RACE - Reem Auto Club Experience

I haven't posted in quite a while so I’ve decided to come back strong. This weekend I had the privilege of being an "honorary guest”
at an event organized by a local club called RACE. Basically it’s a group of people with insane amounts of cash and therefore insane cars.
I don’t mind though they are my new best friends, all of them. Here’s how it happens.

A friend of mine who happens to be a prince gives me a call asking me if i’m free for the day. I say YES because this friend happens to own quite a ‘few’
exotics (SLR, 997 Turbo, Carrera GT, R8, M6, M5, LP640, Gallardo Sperleggera, F430, 2007 S600 AMG and a S600 Brabus and a Pagani Zonda is coming soon).
Now I’m sure all of you are thinking that it’s a lie, but i’m going to start a new post with all of his cars REALLY soon. By the way he’s only 19! But that’s another story,
I’m expecting him to pick me up so we can cruise for hours, and considering his collection of cars that’s just fine with me. But he tells me
to be ready at 9AM the next day and wear a ‘Thobe” the local Saudi attire (it’s the dress code for these kinds of events). He tells me that there’s
gathering of a few “influential” people and that they have agreed to let me tag along. Fair enough the next day I wake up at 9AM and he picks me up in
his drop dead gorgeous metallic grey F430. We head off to a local chill spot to meet the rest of just HIS gang. We get there and honestly I believed for
a second that I had just stumbled upon heaven. 2 Lamborghini Sperleggeras, 1 Gallardo, 1 Murci LP 640, and 6 Porsches. I was beyond shocked. I
managed to take a few pictures but eventually felt uncomfortable because everyone gave me the “look at this idiot taking pictures who doesn’t own a
supercar” look! Eventually everyone got into their cars and we headed off towards the newly opened race track in Riyadh. At that point my pervious
belief that I had reached heaven quickly expired because of what I saw. It was like a supercar orgy, pardon my word use but really nothing else fits.
There were too many around to list, just take a look at the pictures. The day went on and the princes raced around in their PRIVATELY owned F1 cars
not to mention an actual F1 car with a F1 team sponsored by Red Bull bought by a Prince. Like their supercars were not enough! By the end of the
day I wasn’t sure whether what I had just experienced was real or whether I was about to wake up from an amazing dream.

There were also a few Evo’s and Subarus including a White 2008 Subaru STi(in the background of the red Evo picture). I’m really sorry for the “essay”
I just typed, but I had to fully explain this day, by far the best day of my life.

Enjoy the pictures. It’s filtered to the best ones I have.

Sheesh. No Maserati's, Koenigseggs, Bugattis or your run-of-the-mill TVR's or Spykers..? Heck, I don't see no GTR's or NSX's either...gah...what a disappointment....

Seriously though; Wha-ha-hay. That was one helluva party you had. The only thing that could've bettered the day would've been scorching the tracks yourself, behind the wheels of one of those babies...does the, er, 'prince' loan cars to, ahem, enthusiasts...?

Erm. What's the return fare to Dubai nowadays....?

Dubai is not same as Saudi Arabia. Dubai is a kingdom / city which is part of the country named United Arab Emirates. Saudi Arabia is an entirely different nation. Riyadh is the capital and largest city in Saudi Arabia.

WOWIIIEE!!!

Dude do you think he'll welcome a fellow enthusiast to one of these meets? I don't mind looking like an idiot who hasn't seen these exotics ever.

More picures from the event

Here's a second batch of pictures from the event. Notice that the Orange Supperleggera and the White LP640 are on German licsense plates.
The owners of the cars bought and shipped the cars all within 2 days before the event and they couldn't be bothered to switch to Saudi plates.
I don't blame them, if i was a cop and saw those cars i wouldn't bother to stop them.

The silver SLR and the Grey Supperleggra are both owned by the same 19 year old dude who invited me to the event, you can tell by the licsense plate number.
Got his friends to drive them. Next time i will.

Some of these private gatherings are the heights of automotive decadence. You lose all sense of awe for these exotics when you seen hundreds of them being driven in casually, raced around carelessly and wrecked callously.

tjallu is right - this is an ORGY.

Everytime more pictures like these surface, all I think is - I'm gonna start digging in my backyard, even if there's a million to one probability of striking oil.
