Ok let me tell you what "WHOOMPA" is. In the Scouts, (yes yes the same thing we had in school) there is a song called "Gin Gan Gully" (No ishaan not that Gin). It is an African Tribal song that is sung around Camp Fires et all. There is a phrase in the song that goes as follows- "Whoompa Whoompa Whoompa"...Which i think has something to do with power or so. Thus the Phrase.

Remember those 2 612s, the Fiat 500, The Fiat Bravo, The Iveco and a couple of safaris that were going around India?? Well they have finished their journey and were back in mumbai. It was a sort of an "Ending Ceremony" thing. And unless you love the 612, you didnt miss anything.

Lets get ready for the first Ferrari race I saw ever in my life. As a matter of fact my first time around a professional race track that also plays host to Nascar racing, Drag races and a lot more. It is a spectacular place with a Wine and Country Classic Store around at one side from where I purchased batteries for my camera although I didn't have time to browse car related stuff there. There you go (enjoy the pics):

yeah I'd gone to the Taj, and then since I had to make my way back to Bandra anyway I trailed them till Sion and then exited. I totally forgot after that It's not about the 612s as such, its the experience of being around any Ferrari V12. Thanks GTA.

Read here for the 512 & the 288 GTO:

Ferrari Testarossa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ferrari 288 GTO - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Also Kiran, I too need a copy of all these in high-res!

308 Evoluzione.

However the 288 was built using the 308 body right?

Great stuff Kiran. Remember you are our eyes and ears there, mostly eyes
I was wondering if you came across any 50's Inter 212 Vignales . They were according to me, by far one of the best and meanest looking Ferraris ever made.

Here's where Acky breaky Heart is apt. That collection of machines boggles the mind, heart and chokes the tubes. I can't even begin to imagine what a Prancing Horse V-12 sounds like, but I know it must loosen the bark off trees.
My favourite used to be the 512 BB (circa 78-mid 80s), and much later, the 456 GTO (if that's what it was called? It was a front engined, rear drive V-12 tourer and had sensual lines). I remember the Mr. Bean actor had one.
