It's a pickup truck.....with a "H" logo on it!!!

Honda recently launched it's latest offering, the "Ridgeline". The Ridgeline is Honda's first attempt at designing a pickup truck. But, from the way it looks, it's part SUV and part pickup.

before you say anything, i suggest you watch this video advertisement first - Ridgeline Ad

Review - car and driver

2006 Honda Ridgeline
Vehicle type: front-engine, 4-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door truck
Estimated base price: $27,000–$32,000
Engine type: SOHC 24-valve V-6, aluminum block and heads, port fuel injection
Displacement: 212 cu in, 3471cc
Power (SAE net): 255 bhp @ 5750 rpm
Torque (SAE net): 252 lb-ft @ 4500 rpm

Transmission: 5-speed automatic
Wheelbase: 122.0 in
Length/width/height: 206.8/76.3/68.1 in
Curb weight: 4500 lb
Performance ratings (C/D est):
Zero to 60 mph: 8.0 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 16.2 sec @ 86 mph
Projected fuel economy (mfr’s est):
EPA city driving: 16 mpg
EPA highway driving: 21 mpg

Now, this looks like a petrol version but it won't be long before a diesel version makes it's way (provided the American's preffer a diesel).

Not a bad attempt at all.... Like u said its part SUVish and part pickup....
The rear shouldn't have had the slant.. It should have been straight(i.e. 90degree).....

Good pics mate...

the suv/pickup crossover seems good, the headlights seem a bit small in comparison though a bitlarger like the ford sportrac concept wud have been better. The slant tail line reminds me of the Holden Maloo, the pickup single cab version of the monaro/commodore V8 sports coupe.

Well the slanting bottom, on the head light isn't new to Honda.

The Acura TL

and the Acura TSX

have similar head light styling as well.

likes of ridgline are called Sport Utility Trucks
it will be launched in Spring 2005 in states .. its ofcourse nothing compared to the CAddi Escalade your talking about ..retails much cheaper ($27 000 to 32 000 USD ) .. 3.5L V6 engine is shared by the Acura MDX ,Pilot and the Odyssey..
set to compete with the avalanche .. but Honda seemed to struggle a lot trying to sell the Pilot ..wonder how this will do ..

a beautiful escalade

cheers
