I love the coupe which is really close to the concept they showed, but the sedan looks like an extended City. So, the question now is, when will this be launched in India?

Early-mid 2007 would be a safe bet I presume. Any earlier would be a bonus.

I guess thats the best part of anonymous-looking designs: they tend to grow on you, as long as the car is good.

IMHO, this 'new' version manages to look bigger than the current version - something that will help sales in India, no doubt.

U know what. I've been looking at the 2006 Civic for some time now and somehow, i'm begining to like it.

Ofcourse, they'll need to make a few changes before they start producing it but, the overall shape is damn good. If this Civic is destined to have a 250bhp engine, i'm pretty sure Honda must have really worked on it's handling and chassis balance.

I think the shape rocks!! They just need to make a few changes to the front grill, head lights and the rear panel where the Honda logo is placed. .

Even when it's standing there, it looks composed and balanced.

The end product could look similar to this.

Shan dude, you're showing us sketches when pics of the final car have already surfaced , and it looks way too similar to our existing City, atleast the sedan does.

P.s. I love the concept Civic as well.

The new front-end (read windshield and bonnet almost merging) of many new cars like this Civic (and our NHC, Corolla) is designed on the basis of pedestrian safety. What they say is that this design will impact pedestrians far less than a car with the normal windscreen-bonnet design. So maybe all cars of the future will look like this. I dread that day.
