One question here,
Ferrari says they make only 399 cars right?
So the people who buy one and make a total loss on their car,
What happens?
Do they get a new one from insurance? or just cash?

Good question S-350. Infact the same question was in my mind during the last thread and i think i did ask it.

Well, to put it plainly, its the end of the car. I doubt if you do get a replacement. But you can always scout around for used Enzos. One place to start would be the ROBB Report on Supercars that comes out once a year. Why, i've even seen McLaren F-1s on sale in it.

I think if you wreck it, and really want to fix her up again, Ferrari will assist you. The body is made from Carbon fibre, so the moulds will always be there, and its relatively easy to make a new body anytime they want, just pop it in the oven for a bit!

Mind you, I said easy, not CHEAP! Probably cost as much as a new Enzo!

Thanx revv,
I'll definately check the new Robb report for some supercars,
rtech but my point is if a car is totalled,
like the engine is gone... body in pieces etc,
Then what?

Yes even if it costs as much as a new car wudnt insurance cover it?
and again i think a limited edition car if goes broke i think a company cud make a new on as long as it isnt adding more cars right?
But i guess then the cost of making just one wud be too high is it?

Thats the point of insurance. You will get your cars value minus depreciation back.

I am certain that Ferrari will assist you in repairing your Enzo back to shape, provided it is repairable. As for making an additional piece...fat chance
