BMW X1 + RUMORED "SAV" Sibling The X2

I searched through the forum and wasn't able to find any posts about the BMW X1/X2. Mods please correct me if wrong.

BMW X1 Details:

"In November, the first prototypes of the all-new BMW X1 crossover hit the road. "

"The newest X1 also appears to take several design cues from the BMW X6, especially from the B pillar back. Despite the X6’s coupe-like inspired lines, the X1 should offer plenty of rear-seat head room and cargo space."

"The X1 is expected to hit the market in 2010 with full time all-wheel drive. Its overall size is also said to be comparable to the Toyota RAV4. "

BMW X2 Details:

"Just as the X6 is the “SAV” version of the X5, the X2 will be the X1’s fun-loving sibling. "

SAV=Sport Activity Vehicle

"With Audi's Q3 rumored to have a three-door configuration, the X2 might end up being its nearest rival."

Why do all BMW SUV's/MUV's have to be so painfully ugly?

Do they even have a design department in place or not?

the fifth pic looks like a jacked up 1 series with 4WD in other words uglier version of bmw X6
