It would be hard to improve on the Modena's shape, but more power should help it out in the performance department.

The F430 was introduced in Paris last September as a replacement for the 360. As the first in a series of eight-cylinder vehicles which Ferrari is planning, the F430 expands upon the company's aluminum work that started with the vehicle's previously mentioned predecessor. Globally exclusive features include an electronic differential, as well as steering wheel-mounted vehicle dynamics controls. The lightweight V8 powertrain produces a mammoth 490 horsepower and can reach a top speed above 196 mph. The transmission has been tweaked in such a way so that drivers can reportedly shift gears in 150 milliseconds. Braking is provided for by carbon-ceramic discs. Look for the unveiling of an open-top Spider version at the Geneva auto show in early March.
