wait and wwatch-others playing the game would be the honda strategy.at times big ones also do get to be at fault.they should have come to india with a diesel and imagine their volumes would be so high that they would never be able to match it.and diesel alone would not do the trick ,if so what happend to the embera.

Honda makes its one and only albeit brilliant diesel engine in UK only for the European market. They have not tested it anywhere else and donot sell anywhere else. I dont know where the Acoocrd that we get in India is built. It would be way too expensive to sell a UK built car in India.

Perhaps people here are already aware, but Honda's new 2.2 L diesel is due out in 2009. This 4 cyl. turbodiesel will be first fitted on a Acura model (not specified). This was announced by Honda CEO Takeo Fukui tells media at the Detroit auto show. Fukui is bullish on diesels, believing Honda will be able to exceed its European production levels of 100,000 units annually in the US.

Re: Honda Accord 2.2 i-cdti (diesel)

I am waiting to see when this wonderful car, Accord gets a diesel engine in India. I love to buy an Accord, but have a feeling to wait for diesel.Recently heard the 2.2 diesel engine Accord tentatively scheduled to launch in India by end 2012. Can anybody comment about this news & how reliable is this.
