If your argument were to take reality in the form of law, why dont we just kill innovation? I mean...what would be the incentive to invent and produce if making a cheaper copy suddenly became justifiable. Japanese car makers are cheating no one, nor are they forcing anyone to buy their cars. People buy these makes for the sheer value offered. The consumer is today more informed and has a wider choice than ever before.

I dont care whether there is a difference in the engine area or not...the bottomline is that this is a case of blatant piracy, and in a capital investment like an automobile - No less. If this chinese automaker ought to produce cars, he should do so out of his own designs. To duplicate another, and sell it cheaper is pure fraud. Think about it, obviously he would be able to price it much lower than Honda. After all, its Honda who have spent the millions of $$$ in the wind tunnel, safety tests and continuous improvement before they zeroed in on the final design. What does Mr. ChineseAutomaker have to do? Simply zerox the final design???

As car guys with a certain sense of responsibility, we cant afford to pat the backs of those who are killing the spirit of the automotive industry!

gto makes sense! but apart from the testing and all chinese are extermely hard workers, due to which there is stiff competion in rates between india and chinese,
thats the reason ajanta clocks shifted to china!!!

and v12 china does make some good quality stuff, like the fiber optic cables and wires used by reliance and other are all made in china, 99% of the optical cables in the world is from china!
and another thing , the imported clothes ie all those posh brands of usa are all chinese made!!!!!!
why in our own country all the phones sold by nokia india are from china any phone which has "made by nokia" is manufactured in china! the reason why they dont write made in china is due to the fact people think chinese goods are of bad quality!!!!

ur right. chinese do make good quality stuff. but those companies have to adhere to the International quality standards of Nokia and other brands. Thats why the quality is good.

Look at the Chinese motorccyles. They are made specifically for China. They do not have to compete anywhere else in the world. They do not have to conform to international quality standards. Thats why quality is compromised for price.

Chinese have been copying almost all leading models
Ford , GM , Honda and Toyota have sued many chinese companies .
They copied Hondas logo and marketed on their bikes.
They used Toyota engines in limited editions .
They copy Japnese companies outright bcoz eventhough Japanese make better cars they have a bad reputation .(historically)
So they know that japanese comapnies wont openly fight any case against them as Japs are investing a lot and they do not want a bad repu with Chinese people!
